Get into a battle, first slot is a unit I just spent three hours leveling up to get rid of all the curses she had, because it takes like twenty goals completed to level up that far

Two rounds into the battle, she now has five more curses that will take another three hours to get rid of, changing her class mid-battle and there is absolutely fucking nothing I can do about it, nor anything I could have done to prevent it

Because in order to prevent this from happening, I need to COMPLETELY MAX OUT THAT CLASS, and the last level requires twenty goals ON ITS OWN, not to mention the only way to even get this class is to get cursed in the first place

All the cursed equipment that was forced onto me means I now I have five pieces of equipment in my inventory to deal with, WHICH IS HALF MY INVENTORY

Find a chest after the battle, wait ten seconds to see if it moves

It does not move, therefore is not a mimic

Open it, it's a mimic, here's yet another curse

Equip a bow I found to hopefully make up for changing my unit's class mid-battle so I can survive the dungeon

It's cursed too, and there's no way to know until you equip it

Paying to remove these curses will cost well over a hundred grand, which is easily five hours of grinding, and that's assuming I don't get any MORE curses in the process

Go to the unit I rescued, which I only even tried to do so I could get her weapon back, because it doesn't give it back when she gets kidnapped

She has also had all of her equipment replaced with cursed gear, and that weapon is gone forever, so this whole endeavor was a gigantic waste of time to begin with

MAN WOWEE GEE I SURE LOVE HAVING MY FUCKING TIME WASTED FOR NO REASON WHEN I DID NOTHING WRONG YIPEE

This is fucking BULLSHIT and completely fucking unfair

Cry about it.

This "someone" sounds toxic and unhelpful.

Subscribestar will host your content without issue, but it sounds like you're being unfairly controlled by a third party.

Patreon will find you outside of their site and ban you if they find anything they don't like. They think they're heroes.

Itch.io is full of oversensitive minors who will report anything that makes them mildly uncomfortable. They also think they're heroes.

Subscribestar is a viable option. Fanbox can be used if you host the uncensored version offsite. Gumroad will host it without fuss.

I'm really sick and tired of "modern western values."

I'm having genealogy issues.

I have three girls from the same parents, but it lists them as half-siblings. Not only are they all full blood siblings, but two of them are twins. They have one half-sister, who doesn't live with them anymore.

Granted, the parents are siblings (shush), and impregnated eachother. So I guess you could make an ass-backwards argument that one of the three is a half-sister, since technically the mother and father are different, but that doesn't explain the twins.

I'm more than a little disheartened. I opened the relatives box and expected to see "twin sister," thinking "aww, we get to have Christmas with twins." Then I got sad. I'm not code-goblin enough to find out for sure if it's a base game issue, but reporting it to Maverik is almost certainly a waste of time anyway.

Protip for anyone else with this problem in the future:

If a site is region or SP locked for you, try creating a snapshot of it on the Wayback Machine and you might be able to get through from there. It's slow, but I've done it before and it worked.

You could also try using your phone's wireless network instead. Just turn off wifi. I've done that too. Download it on your phone and then email it to yourself.

I don't mean to one-up or anything, but I went through and cleaned up some ellipses, fixed some capitals, and re-worded a couple of lines that stood out to me in-game. He addressed some of them already, and it's all great work.

I removed the space after the ellipses if it was part of the same sentence, and kept all those sentence breaks at 3 periods. It's easier to read that way. There are a lot of places where you use 6 periods instead, but I left the rest of them alone. I'm thinking that just represents the length of the pause you wanted.

The line that goes "Here's another one that's amazingly beautifully done" doesn't really make sense in context, since she's looking at the same statue, but it's 5am and I'm not sure how to approach it.

I agree. Of course there is nothing wrong with trying to appeal to your core audience. But, that begs the question: If someone is making demands to change your project, are they your core audience?

I sure wish people could accept that not everything they see needs to appeal to them.

If you don't like it, just look somewhere else. The fact that something doesn't appeal to you does not mean that it needs to be changed until it does. Bickering about what the project should be just makes the whole thing undesirable to anyone.

Including the creator. I can't be surprised at the lack of updates when the comments are so toxic and entitled. Especially since this is the first time Mofu has made development public. I doubt he has experience dealing with this many frivolous and immature demands.

I went through and touched up the English. I cross-referenced the Japanese file to make sure everything was accurate and authentic. It's more consistent and sounds much more natural now. I think I did a good job, if I do say so myself.

Everything I mentioned before has already been fixed. That is incredible! Great work, Mofu. It feels very polished!

One thing: I feel like the new boss is very easy compared to the rest. I could take 4 or 5 hits from the mushroom boss, but I can take more than 10 here. I think the mechanics of the fight are great, but there's no incentive to engage with those mechanics if I can just tank the damage and trade hits. With the control improvements you've done, you can definitely expect the player to be able to handle it. I never felt like I took an unfair hit, because the controls are excellent.

I would suggest much higher damage and slightly less HP. I mean, she's a giant wielding a hammer bigger than Nene. High damage would definitely make sense.

Oh, and if you hold a direction during Nene's fall damage animation, her face will stay that way until you let go of it. It's pretty funny, to be honest.

Hi, Mofu. I have a few minor things to report.

There's a weird physics issue where the large balls take a very long time to stop swinging back and forth. Actually, they never stop unless you stand perfectly still for several minutes. It's really bad after crouching. I have to unequip them since it's so distracting.

Using the Umbrellashroom while on a ladder causes some...interesting effects. Having a button to let go of a ladder would be nice. While using the Umbrellashroom, being able to descend faster by holding down would be convenient as well.

The small breasts have some odd graphical issues sometimes. They point upwards when they shouldn't, and it makes it look like Nene's ribcage is trying to escape her body. The Umbrellashroom issue should show you what I mean. It's also noticable while crouching, and a little bit while dashing.

Swinging a weapon while crouching will cause you to remain crouching as long as you keep attacking, as if the game tracks Nene's position rather than player input. You can also swing a weapon much faster while crouching, and this causes a graphical glitch with most weapons.

I also feel like the dodge roll and standing attack could use a little polish. It feels a little clumsy on recovery (animation end). But the movement in general is already very good. You did a great job on the grace period to prevent midair jumps when there should be a normal jump. That feels perfect!

I think the Sell menu should display the attributes of equipment, and exclude items that you have locked. The "Confirm" option feels like it needs more contrast when it is highlighted. Pressing up while on this menu doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the list if it's too long. Being able to hold the button on the Inventory menu to move faster would be nice, though switching to the mouse instead works fine.

Speaking of equipment, I feel the Dash Speed+ attribute is...a bit too much. Just having +1 doubles your speed. It is hilarious, though. Gravity can't keep up with it. Woosh~!

There is a farming exploit in the first area: Just spam the first metal post and go crazy with the bow. Limiting the number of enemies that can spawn and how often would fix this. I think you probably plan on removing this post entirely, though.

I hope this isn't overwhelming; they really are small things. Thanks for your work. It's been great seeing the game take shape, and it was a smart decision to port it here. The parallax scrolling looks great, and the dolls are adorable. Mine shoots lightning!

It would be great if you had a standalone version of this. Mostly so I could...actually play it.

My PC should be more than powerful enough to run this, but running it in-browser is absolutely frying  my CPU and I'm getting literally 2 frames per second, with inputs being practically useless. And since the game speed is apparently tied to the framerate....

There are some image boards and flash archive sites that still host various versions of it. If you look hard enough, I'm sure you could find the last version floating around somewhere. The main dev who was scammed posted the full source code after the incident. To my knowledge, nobody has done anything with it, unfortunately.

Incorrect. The artist ran off with the money and used it to develop the ripoff he had already started work on, so he no longer had to split profits. The Cloud Meadow dev is a con artist and a fraud.

And the art in Cloud Meadow somehow looks far worse. Generic western trash.

If you refuse to play a video game because you can't play as a 1:1 copy of yourself, then I'd like to think that's your problem. The point of a role-playing game isn't to stuff yourself into it, and you certainly don't get special rights to make it change to suit you. Incredibly immature, if you ask me.

I just ran past all the enemies, jumped and dashed over most of them.

Koishi's shooting noise is 128% concentrated ear rape.

Well, it would be a lot better if the game didn't drop ten frames every time Koishi fired another volley. What should be a simple pattern to dodge becomes practically impossible. And this isn't a weak machine, either.

There is a Defend command in the tactics menu, right above the Scent command. The game even explains the Scent mechanic, so I have no idea how you could miss that for that long.

There is also a way to auto-fast-forward the ATB gauge. This is also explained in the Help menu, which the game tells you to read regarding combat. On a controller, it's RB. It fast-forwards through anything that doesn't have a button prompt. I rarely use it, especially with Vex in the party, but it's there. The game is also smart enough to skip redundant animations automatically.

As for where to go, like...talk to the professor. That's...who the whole game revolves around.

Amazing game with HUGE attention to detail and production values. Very deep combat system, fleshed-out characters and many different ways to interact with them on a personal level, and actually fun to play.

Fantastic dialogue, and lots of it. (Vex is hilarious and I love her to death. Wait, no, that came out wrong.) The characters' personalities seem cliche on the surface, but actually have a lot of depth and sincerity once you start digging. I actually care about all of them and their feelings.

I do have a couple of suggestions and one question that has been bothering me a lot.

First suggestion: The early game is extremely difficult right now. Mostly because of a DESPERATE lack of money. My potential solutions to this are:
 a. Have the Professor give the player a few potions and antidotes along with the $100 she gives you at the start
 b. Remove bandages from the suggested list of items to buy, since they are not useful until the second dungeon; suggest them when the second dungeon is unlocked
 c. Instead of suggesting items, describe the monsters and hazards the player will encounter in each dungeon, so they can infer which items to buy themselves
 d. Rename the bandages or the potions slightly, so Epic Gamer Instincts™ don't kick in and you accidentally buy bandages instead of potions as healing items, i.e. Health Potion and/or Absorbent Bandage
 e. Briefly mention how hideously expensive the Tent is when Miruku gives it to the player, so the player does not waste it, thinking it's a staple item like in other RPGs. Since the player is encouraged to buy potions, antidotes, and bandages, they are unlikely to scroll down far enough in the shop to see the Tent. This could also be achieved by actively displaying item cost in the shop list
 f. Discourage the player from trying to seduce monsters until they have access to Clarabelle and/or the Guild Hall, possibly even disable the option entirely
 g. Add a Chance event in the first dungeon that gives the player a semi-valuable item to sell, such as a trinket of some sort that is worth $10
 h. Have Poison wear off eventually. Currently, it never wears off. This will cause the player to constantly hemorrhage potions unless you have an antidote, or force them to leave the dungeon or save scum when Miruku or Circe is poisoned
 i. Reduce the cost of antidotes and bandages. Currently, they are the same price as a potion. This often forces the player to choose between one or the other with very limited funds, and they're probably going to choose potions

My second suggestion: Increase the volume of Vex's lines. Most of them are much quieter than the rest of the voice lines.

My third suggestion: Find some way to expand the number of ways the player can passively interact with the other characters. Once you start seeing text conversations repeated, you're forced to consciously acknowledge that they're in a video game. It's a little disheartening, because I do care about them.

My fourth suggestion: Let the player choose the option to postpone a confession more than once. I...really don't want to break Circe's heart, but I also don't want to break Vex's. They're both fragile and I want both of them to be happy. My only option is to never respond to Circe's text. It really discourages you from improving your relationship with them. It's not fair, dammit

As for my question: This concerns what Vex says regarding other men when you accept her confession. It's a heart-rendingly sweet thing for her to say, considering what she is. But, at the same time...doesn't it mean she's going to starve? This actually worries me, and it isn't addressed. She's already established that no other way will work. So how is she going to eat, now?

This comment is long enough that I'll probably never get an answer, since I doubt anyone will ever read this far, but I might as well try. That also means these suggestions were pointless, but they were on my mind and I figured I might as well offer them.

Bonus question: Vex's version of the story she's telling that gets cut off includes the words "So there I was, balls-deep in this guy's ass."

I...the...you what?? I mean, I would be totally cool with that, but like...I happen to know for a fact that you lack the aforementioned anatomy. And I can't think of a single thing this could be a metaphor or euphemism for. I NEED AN EXPLANATION.

You really need to fix the alignment of the battle buttons, so I can stop unintentionally ending MY ENTIRE TURN when I click the Skill button.

Why is that RIGHT NEXT to the Skill button anyway??? There is a reason every other tactical RPG on the planet puts that button behind another menu entirely.
